I Am From

I am from my family, with all the broken glass around.
I am from the heartbreak,
The return and the wanted,
The can't have,
The build and tare,
The stubbornness of you and me,
The hole in my heart,
The broken glass won't fix,
Tears roll down, the glass could piece together,
If only it would move, forget about the crash,
Open to the future.
Learn from mistakes,
Become whole again,
Repair the damage of this hearts desire before the heart gives up completely,
The broken glass and heart both want the same thing, but their voice zipped close, the feeling of brokenness arises,
Stubbornness keeps the feelings imprisoned,
All they want is to be whole,
Silence,
Ignorance,
Broken glass,
Severed heart,
Don't risk anything,
The pain is too much,
The future is now and your gone,
Never repairing the true bond,
There is still time,
You can fix, what was broke in the past,
Scars will still be present,
The new feelings will cover like a blanket,
All that has to be done is....
Ditch the pride,
Money,
And everything else,
Make the time to fix the bond,
The bond that was broken 6 months after the miracle,
When you chose to leave,
Time ticks and away the chances,
You can't repair, you're running out of time,
Soon I will be away,
The bond forever broken,
The pain forever there,
Wishing to change the past.
Where am I from?
I am from the wish of something that could be,
The longing for something more,
The hurt and pain all the same,
This is me,
And I like it.

  1. After hearing you read this twice and reading it for myself here, I love this poem more and more.
