Love

Love is what every human longs for.
Its in our DNA.
The one question people tend to ask is, is it worth the pain?
Is love really worth the pain and heart break?
Well let's just think about this for a minute.
Think back to the last moment you wanted to give up.
Just throw your hands in the air and say 'I'm done! I quit!'.
What pulled you threw it?
Was it a little spec of brightness in the dark?
Or what about that humming bird that never seems to stick around?
Or was it that grumpy neighbor finally showing you the nice side of them?
Did a random act of kindness make you want to fight?
You see love isn't just about a person you plan on kissing every time you come home from work.
No, love is the people that help you through life's toughest times.
Whether it be the loss of an animal or a loved one or simply just having a rough day, they are there for you.
When you want to give up and give in to the pain they are there.
Love isn't just about couples.
Love is about friendship, kindness, family, humanity.
Without friends and family what would love be?
Nothing!
Love is nothing without having someone to share it with.

What are the holidays?

The difference between the ideas of holidays is simple. 

It's me vs. you,

It's the memories that share,

Or maybe the ones that tare. 

The ones that make up what the holidays mean to you.

Every family is different,

can't you see,

No one celebrates the same,

Isn't that what makes it special?

The things that make your family unique.

The problem now is simple,

Holidays have become commercialized.

When really everyone you love should be near,

Held dear,

Isn't that what it's all about?

Not the color of skin,

The religion,

The difference and uniqueness,

It doesn't matter we are all human.

So this year,

This holiday season,

Try and spread some cheer.

Be nice and understanding,

Kill people with kindness,

Or just smile,

Smiles are contagious like yawning. 

Even if not all are true to it,

Once smile can change someones day,

Is it that enough reason?

Well I sure think it is.

Hope you all enjoy this holiday season.

Hold your love ones dear,

They won't always be near.

The Stripes

Being that one,
Odd,
Standing different,
Doesn't mean you're alone,
People should love you for you,
Not something you cover with stripes,
The stripes won't last,
One day they will be the past,
Then where will you be?

All things that make up the world around us,
It's the heart's longing,
Brains thinking,
Always wanting what's best for you,
Close your eyes and imagine,
The past, present, and future,
The adventures that time brings,
All the moments that make life worth it,
Is it the moment's where everything is held dear,
Or the blackness that surrounds the clear.
What makes you think?
The thought of now,
or where you will be 3 years and how?
What makes you smile?
Is it seeing a dog in the water,
Seeing your friends,
Family,
Or someone in particular?
What makes you tick?
What makes me, me?
